API 2H

API 2H Offshore Steel Plate

Leeco® Steel stocks and supplies API 2H steel plate, which is certified for use in offshore structures.

 Overview:

  • Offering intermediate strength in relation to other structural steel grades, API 2H steel is typically used in welded construction for offshore structures.
  • Available in Grade 50 and 42.
  • Exhibits high impact toughness and resistance to fatigue loading.
  • Mill test reports will be provided to confirm composition and material properties.
  • Charpy test requirements for specific zones and climates may be requested.
  • Certified by the American Petroleum Institute (API) and in some cases dual certified by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).
  • May be certified to meet multiple specifications on Mill Test Report, typically for ASTM A633, ABS EH/DH36 and ASTM A537.
