Leeco Steel Receives 2019 AWMI Chicago Chapter Cornerstone and Volunteer of the Year Awards
Lisle, IL – September 27, 2019 – Leeco® Steel, one of the largest suppliers of steel plate in North America, received the AWMI Chicago Chapter’s 2019 Cornerstone Award for its support of the organization at the Chapter’s annual dinner.
Leeco Steel’s senior credit analyst, Jeanmarie Bolero, also received the Chicago Chapter’s Volunteer of the Year Award at the industry dinner. Bolero is a long-time member of AWMI and a regular volunteer at chapter events.
AWMI, an organization that encourages the growth of women in the metals industry, presents the Cornerstone Award to a member company who supports the goals and objectives of the organization, promotes AWMI’s four cornerstones – grow, educate, network, mentor – and actively participates in the chapter.
Ryan Murphy, Leeco Steel’s VP of Purchasing, accepted the Cornerstone Award on behalf of the company during the AWMI Chicago Chapter’s 35th Annual Industry Dinner and Awards Banquet.

2019 marks Leeco Steel’s 12th year as a Silver Corporate member of AWMI. Leeco received the AWMI Chicago Chapter’s Company of the Year Award in 2010 and continuously encourages AWMI and the success of women in the metals industry.
