A830 - C1045 Carbon Steel Plate
High-Carbon 1040, 1045 and A830-C1045 steel plate are grades of structural quality carbon steel plate furnished to chemical composition requirements detailed below. These plates are usually supplied in the as-rolled (hot-rolled) condition.
The plates are available in several standard grades and non-standard grades. When steel is to be welded, it is assumed that a welding procedure suitable for the grade of steel and intended use or service will be used. See appendix X3 of specification A6/A6M for information on weldability.
Chemical Requirements:
- Carbon Range of .43 to .50
- Manganese Range of .60 to .90
- Phosphorous .035 max
- Sulfur .040 max
