Abrasion Resistant (AR) Quenched & Tempered Steel
Abrasion resistant quenched & tempered steel plate is used primarily in heavy industries such as mining, oil & gas and truck trailer. AR quenched & tempered steel plate offers a high resistance to wear and impact applications. Typically AR quenched & tempered steel is made through chemistry addition with hardening agents like carbon / manganese and through the Q&T process. The Q&T process is quenching and tempering, where the plates are heated to high temperatures and then cooled rapidly with water; this creates a very durable surface condition that allows the steel plates to withstand major impact.
