Abrasion Resistant (AR) Steel Plate
AR (Abrasion Resistant) Steel Plate is used in the manufacture of numerous products; Conveyors, Chutes & Liners and Aggregate Containers are a few examples of uses for this material. Typically, this steel plate is made in the as-rolled condition. Hardening agents such as carbon and manganese are used in the make-up of AR Steel Plate, providing exceptional durability (180 to 250 brinell range) above and beyond that of standard carbon steel in a wear application.
The extended life of products made from this type of steel is measurable in wear-life and the reduced need and expense of replacing worn out parts, yet its cost is only slightly higher than other HSLA grades.
