Alloy quenched & tempered steel plate is used in applications that must withstand severe impact and abrasion. This steel is designed with the necessary hardness and durability for use in applications such as dump bodies, bucket components, mining & construction equipment, welded bridges & other construction, welded boilers, pressure vessels, hauling & lifting equipment and other structural applications where its strength can be utilized to reduce weight.

140,000 Minimum Yield
140,000 minimum yield plates are premium ultra-high strength, structural quality heat-treated plates. The typical applications for these plates include mining equipment, crane industry for telescoping boom sections and any other uses where least weight combined with high strength are critical factors. Each producing mill has its own proprietary chemical composition and heat treating process. Mill-specific specifications are available upon request.

Standard Specification for High-Yield-Strength, Quenched and Tempered Alloy Steel Plate, Suitable for Welding. This specification covers quenched and tempered alloy steel plates of structural quality in thicknesses of 6' and under, intended primarily for use in welded bridges and other structures.

Over 2.50' to 6' incl - 90,000ksi yield strength, 100,000ksi to 130,000ksi tensile strength, 16% elongation in 2' test, 50% reduction of area
